Make a Pillowcase, Make a Difference!
This yearlong national challenge—spearheaded by American Patchwork & Quilting and sponsored by Fabric Shoppers Unite, among others—asks independent quilt shops and fabric stores to join forces with quilters and sewers to create and donate 1 million pillowcases to local charities.

One Million Pillowcase Challenge – Over 19,000 Pillowcases Donated!
How exciting! As of today, the One Million Pillowcase Challenge–of which Project 95: Fabric Shoppers Unite–Shop Independents is a sponsor–already has logged over 19,000 pillowcases made and donated!
To further support to the One Million Pillowcase Challenge, our parent organization, The Fabric Shop Network–the trade association for independent quilt shops and fabric stores, is hosting a special virtual shop hop based on the theme of pillowcases. Over 120 shops are participating in our Pillowcase Party, where you hop and shop while earning the chance to win wonderful prizes. As a special bonus, many participating shops have special promotions during the Hop featuring pillowcase kits, patterns and more!We will be featuring some of the participating shops’ special pillowcase items. This is just another example of independents doing good for their communities–and we’re thrilled to share that with you!
